RUTHLESS FAMILY REUNION TOUR *EXCLUSIVE*

In a candid and exclusive interview close associates rapper/producer ‘Big Hutch aka Cold 187 um’ & Chris Pringle CEO of CM3 Media Group, Inc. give deep insight into the origins of Gangsta Rap, the iconic impact of EASY E, and the upcoming Ruthless Family Reunion Tour.

Speaking on the Rise of West Coast Rap and Easy E’s Legacy

Eric Lynn Wright better known by his stage name Eazy-E and affectionately called “The Godfather of Gangsta Rap”, launched one of the most successful independent record labels in music history –Ruthless Records. He was the founding member of the controversial rap group N.W.A. ( Niggaz Wit’ Attitude), & executive producer of the first blockbuster Gangsta Rap album “Straight Outta Compton”, released in 1988 & certified Multi-Platinum. “Straight Outta Compton” would establish West Coast hip hop as a vital genre and establish Los Angeles as a legitimate rival to Hip Hop’s long-time capital, New York City.

Eric Wright was born to Richard and Kathie Wright in Compton, California, a Los Angeles suburb notorious for gang activity and crime. From the way he dressed to the way he talked to the type of records he made, Easy E was a trendsetter in the Hip Hop culture that was emerging on the streets of L.A. in the late 80’s and early 1990’s.

A former street hustler & drug dealer turned entrepreneur & visionary, Easy E started Ruthless Records with money he earned in the streets. He created what is now viewed by many as one of the first rap music empires. He recognized talent and built a roster that included Hiphop’s most influential and successful artists such as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, & Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. His business savvy, personal charisma & drive turned Gangsta Rap and Hip Hop into a commercial commodity that paved the way for an entire industry genre and many acts that followed.

Despite Easy E’s obvious impact in the music game on the West Coast and around the world, his legacy has at times been understated and overshadowed by his untimely death from the AIDS virus. Easy E’s children Lil Easy E and Derrick, along with Big Hutch and other former Ruthless artists, have begun a movement to ensure his legendary accomplishments in music will never be forgotten.

In a candid exclusive interview close associates rapper/producer ‘Big Hutch aka Cold 187 um’ from “Above the Law” a group signed by Easy E to Ruthless Records in late 1989. & Chris Pringle CEO of CM3 Media Group, Inc. who was with Easy E from beginning to end, give deep insight into the origins of Gangsta Rap, Hiphop, and the iconic impact of EASY E. The two discuss his legacy and the work being done to preserve and share it, as well as plans for the upcoming Ruthless Family Reunion Tour.
